

Ivy was the beloved wife of the late John A. Verrico, devoted mother of Lisann Verrico and her husband, Tim Lynch, and a proud and loving Yaya to Nicholas and Matthew Lynch, who brought immense joy to her life. She was a treasured friend to many, known for her kindness, warmth, and generous spirit.
Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Ivy spent her childhood in New York City before settling in Westwood in the 1960s after marrying the love of her life. She built an accomplished career at Dai Ichi Kangyo Bank (later known as Mizuho Corporate Bank) in New York City, working in the World Trade Center. Throughout her years there, she demonstrated extraordinary strength and resilience, surviving two terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. Through hard work, dedication, and perseverance, she rose through the ranks of the organization, eventually retiring as Vice President of General Administration after a distinguished career.
Ivy was a woman of deep faith and community spirit. A devoted member of St. Andrew’s Parish, she was actively involved in numerous local clubs and organizations, always eager to lend a helping hand and bring people together. Her vibrant personality, welcoming smile, and genuine interest in others made her a beloved presence wherever she went.
She found great happiness in traveling, dancing, and creating lasting memories with family and friends. Whether celebrating special occasions, sharing stories and laughter, or simply enjoying time with loved ones, Ivy embraced life with enthusiasm, grace, and gratitude.
Above all, Ivy will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the strength she showed throughout her life, and the countless lives she touched with her compassion and friendship. Her legacy lives on in her family, her friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
The family will receive their relatives and friends on Sunday June 7, 2026, from 2pm to 6pm at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack, Westwood, NJ. A Mass celebrating Ivy’s life and faith will be held on Monday June 8, 2026, at 10 am at St. Andrew’s R.C. Church, 120 Washington Avenue, Westwood, NJ. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories, Twp. of Washington, NJ.
