

KOUYOUMDJIAN, Jack, 68, of Edison, NJ, formerly of Cliffside Park, NJ, passed away on Thursday, December 4th, 2025. Jack is survived by his beloved wife Wanxin Shi; his children Shant and his wife Jennifer, Ara, Garen and Taleen; his grandchildren Jacob and Karina; his sole niece, Sarah Ciccolella as well as his siblings Grus, Annie and Jirair. Jack is predeceased by his parents Antoine and Mary Kouyoumdjian.
Jack loved painting and playing music as his hobbies. He enjoyed playing bass guitar and keyboard; performing with famous Armenian musicians, building his own sound systems and DJ'ing events. Jack took pride in being a business owner, operating his own general contracting company as his career. Jack came to America at 16 years old, settling in Cliffside Park, NJ, after growing up abroad in Syria, Lebanon and France. His first job in America was proudly serving his community as a Cliffside Park Police Officer.
Jack then married, had 4 children and was loved by his family, friends and his community. Jack touched the lives of many with his profound sense of humor, warmth, creativity and lived with a selfless heart. He was truly loved by so many. Known by everyone and forgotten by none, he built friendships everywhere he went. His relationships, respect and the love people had for him speak to the incredible man he was.
The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Sunday, December 14th, from 2-6PM. A Celebration of Jack's life and faith will be held at Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, 461 Bergen Blvd., Ridgefield, NJ on Monday, December 15th at 11AM with interment at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ to follow.
