BULGER, James Joseph, 71, of River Vale, NJ, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016. He was born in the Bronx, NY to James and Eleanor Bulger. Beloved husband of 48 years to Patricia Bulger. Devoted father of Laurie Mann and her husband Bill, James Bulger and his wife Lindsey, Christopher Bulger and his wife Lauren and the late Michael Patrick Bulger. Loving grandfather of William, Jason, Joseph, Jack and Samuel. Before retiring, Jim was a member of the River Vale Police Department having attained the rank of Detective Lieutenant. He was a member of PBA Local 206 and a U.S.M.C. Veteran. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Thursday, February 4 from 4-8PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating Jim’s life and faith will be held at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Hillsdale, NJ on Friday, February 5 at 10AM. Interment will follow at Cemetery of the Ascension, Airmont, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Jim’s name to the Alzheimers Association.
