

James J. Fleming, Jr. 84, of Maywood, NJ passed away on November 15, 2013. Born in Lebanon, NJ, he lived in Emerson for over 40 years and Toms River, NJ for 10 years before moving to Maywood, NJ. James proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired as a pipe fitter for Local Union 274, Ridgefield, NJ. James loved to go to AC and vacation in Lake George with his wife Catherine and family. He was predeceased in January by his beloved wife, Catherine (Gassert) Fleming and is survived by his sons, Dennis Fleming and his wife Myriam and Brian Fleming and his wife Denise; his daughters, Maureen Leidig and her husband Chris, Janice Fusco and her husband John and Karen Quinn and her husband Robert; his sister, Mary Matias and her husband Manuel; his 14 grandchildren, Jayme, Shannon, Allison, Wayne, Ryan, Sabrina, Christopher, Meaghan, Samantha, Catherine, Brianna, Kelly, John and Tyler and his 5 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Becker Funeral Home on Saturday 9:00am with a 10:00am funeral mass at Church of the Assumption, Emerson. A private cremation will follow. Visiting hours are on Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm at the funeral home.
