James Peter Strabone

STRABONE, James, 68, of Park Ridge, NJ, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014. He was born in Boston, MA to the late Gaetano and Gelsomina Strabone. Beloved husband of Linda Strabone. Devoted father of Tammy Levinson and her husband Matthew, Christopher Strabone, and Colleen Strabone, cherished Pop-Pop to Jayden, Kailey, Rayanna, Katelyn, and Emma. Survived by his siblings Rosalie Yenouskas and husband James, Lorraine Krupkowski and late husband Frank, brother Daniel Strabone and wife Maureen, and his in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and colleagues. Honorably served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force ('65-'71) during the Vietnam War. Life Member of the Park Ridge Volunteer Fire Department since 1984, where he served through the ranks from Lieutenant to Fire Chief, President of the PRFD Exempt Association, and treasurer of the PR Volunteer Fireman's Association for 13 years. James' family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Wednesday and Thursday, December 17 and 18, from 5-9PM, with a Park Ridge Volunteer Fire Department service on Thursday at 7:30PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating Jim’s life and faith will be held at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Park Ridge, NJ on Friday, December 19 at 11AM. Cremation will be private.
