Kenneth A. Stringer

Kenneth A. Stringer, 89, of Westwood NJ/ Carmel NY peacefully passed away on August 30, 2012. A loving man who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Son of Frederick and Lorretta Stringer and loving brother of Ellsworth, Charles, Alvin and Lorretta, all of whom have passed before him. As a young man, he fell in love with and married the former Julia Driscoll. Together they shared 42 years of marriage and raised four sons; Kenneth (Jane), Kevin (Joan), Keith (Holly) and Michael (Susan). Kenny was a graduate of Delhi University and worked in the Dairy industry as a dairy farmer and milkman for many years until his retirement. After the passing of his first wife, Kenny was lucky to find love again and married Grace Schumeyer with whom he spent 22 blessed years. Grace’s daughters, Mary Damstrom (Bruce), Karen Battle (Bob), Eileen Mosolino (Joe –deceased), and Gale Ruman (John) were blessed by this union as well. Ken had 26 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren that loved spending time with him. A viewing for relatives and friends will be held, Tuesday 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the BECKER FUNERAL HOME. A Mass will be held Wednesday at 10:15AM at Saint Andrew’s Church in Westwood NJ followed by the burial at Raymond Hill Cemetery in Carmel NY. In lieu of flowers the family asks that an expression of sympathy be sent to St. Andrew’s RC Church, Westwood NJ in his memory.
