

Margaret Mary, 84, of Woodland Avenue, Westwood, NJ, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on November 25, 2011 of Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was the loving wife of the late Hugh J. Carlson. Born in Manhattan, she was the daughter of William and Deborah Waring of Woodside, NY. Margaret was a graduate of Saint Sebastian High School. She was married to Hugh Carlson in October 1957. In 1961 the family moved from Woodside Queens to Westwood, NJ. Margie worked for New York Telephone as an operator and had a long-time part-time job with Shoppers Publications and Metropolitan Flyers; she retired in 2004. She was well –known for her great sense of humor, optimism, and generosity. She loved to travel, which she did extensively with her husband, sister, relatives, and friends. She also loved her crafts. Marge is survived by her daughter, Kathy Drake and her husband Tim of Westwood, NJ; her son, Edward Carlson and his wife Jennifer of Guilford, CT; four grandchildren, Anders, Hunter, Delia, and Stephanie. Siblings: Tom Waring of Ronkonkoma, NY and Jack Waring of Hudson, NY and also loved by her sister-in-law Erika Waring and many devoted nieces and nephews. Funeral Liturgy at Church of Saint Andrew, Westwood, NJ on Tuesday at 10AM. Entombment Hackensack Cemetery, Hackensack, NJ.
