Margaret "Marge" Rosenbauer

Margaret Elko Rosenbauer, RN, formerly of Hillsdale, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 7th, 2023. She was predeceased by her husband Howard J. Rosenbauer, MD. Devoted mother of James Rosenbauer and his wife Palma of Cream Ridge, NJ; Robert Rosenbauer and his wife Terri of Montara, CA; Peter Rosenbauer, DMD, of Watchung, NJ; and Thomas Rosenbauer and his wife Rebecca of Easton, PA. Loving grandmother of Chelsea, Taylor, Anne, and Laura.

Margaret attended Middlesex College in Edison NJ, and received her RN degree from Muhlenberg Hospital School of Nursing where she was a member of the Alumnae Association. She was a member of the St. John’s Council #1345 Columbiettes and the St. John’s Rosary Society. She was a Trustee for Hillsdale Senior Housing Corporation. Margaret was most proud of her commitment to promoting public health since 1979, including being a 40 year participant in the Nurses’ Health Studies.

For over 40 years, Margaret and Howard served the community of Hackensack by providing the best medical care through their family practice, including delivering babies, making house calls, and caring for generations of families.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 11th, 9am, at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 69 Valley Street, Hillsdale, NJ, at 10:30am, immediately followed by entombment in Garden of Memories Mausoleum, Washington Township. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church would be appreciated.
