LORENZO, Marion E., 72, of Arlington, TX, formerly of Mahwah, NJ, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020. Marion is survived by her sister and husband Linda and Ed Lyon; her two sons and their wives Steven and Julie Lorenzo and Michael and Donna Lorenzo; her daughter and her husband Allison and Greg Smith; her four grandchildren Amanda, Ashley, Noah, and Hannah; plus many nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her life partner Heinz Weinberger, her parents Frank and Amalia Bloise, her brother Robert Bloise, and her granddaughter Emily Lorenzo.
After graduating from Clarkstown High School in New City, NY, Marion worked most of her life in various areas of the travel industry until the time of her passing. She was a travel agent for over 30 years and used that career to fuel her travel to various locations in the world, including a trip on the Concorde while it was in operation. She loved spending time with her friends and family when returning to the northeast, during family vacations, and when hosting “spaghetti dinners” at her house.
The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home at 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ, on Sunday, February 23 from 10 am to 12:30 pm with entombment to follow at Garden of Memories in the Township of Washington, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marion’s name to the Community Hospice of Texas, 6100 Western Place, Suite 105, Fort Worth, TX 76107.
