Michael Strippoli

Michael, 84, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Hampton Ridge Healthcare, Toms River, NJ. Born in New York, NY, he lived in Westwood, NJ for over 35 years before moving to Toms River 21 years ago. Michael and his wife Dolly were proprietors of Strippoli's Italian Specialties in Ridgewood, NJ from 1974 to 1986. He also worked at Casa Del Sol, Woodcliff Lake, NJ, the Italian Riviera, Waldwick, NJ and Joe Leone’s, Point Pleasant, NJ. He was a Master Mozzarella Maker for over 40 years.

He is predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Carmela “Dolly” Strippoli; a son Louis and his wife Frances Strippoli of Ridgewood, NJ, a son Anthony and his wife Cintra Strippoli of Albuquerque, NM, a daughter Bernadette and her husband Mark Peterson of Wallkill, NY, a son Michael and his wife Esther Strippoli of Manalapan, NJ. He is predeceased by his sister Laura Maggnilli. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Christina, Louis, Jaclyn, Michael and Alexis and his great-grandchildren Evan and Alexandria.

The family will receive their friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Friday, 2-4 and 7-9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church, Township of Washington, NJ on Saturday, at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
