Pat Scherf

Patricia “Pat” Scherf (nee Sporn) a resident of Whiting, NJ (formerly of Norwood, NJ) passed away on Monday, March 10th at the age of 83. She was born in Bronx, NY on November 15, 1941 to her parents Amy and Mario Rosco. On April 4, 1964 Pat married Walter W. Scherf at St. Barnabas Church, Bronx, NY.

Pat enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed knitting, watching horror movies and playing the penny slots at the casinos.

Pat is survived by her husband Walter; children William (Kathleen) Scherf, Robert (Cynthia) Scherf and John Scherf; grandchildren Jennifer (Ryan) Klafehn, Kathryn (Robert) Armstrong, Matthew (Nicole) Scherf, Andrew and Caroline Scherf, Nicole DeMartine, Daniel Scherf and great-grandchildren Eden Klafehn, Colton and Hailey Armstrong, and Madelyn Scherf. Additionally Pat is survived by her siblings Christine (William) O’Neill, John (Susan) Rosco, Jerry Rosco, sister-in-law Anita Green, her nieces, nephew and friends. She is predeceased by her brother Michael Sporn and daughter-in-law Kimberly Scherf.

A celebration of life for Patricia will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A prayer service will begin at 2:45PM at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675.
