Peter A. Lia

Peter A. Lia, 95, of Allendale, NJ formerly of Hillsdale, NJ passed away on November 5, 2012. Born and raised in Union City, NJ. Peter served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a Purple Heart recipient. Beloved husband of 74 years to Lucille. Devoted father of Gary Lia and his wife Victoria, and Annette Bolyai and her husband Stephen. Cherished grandfather of Kristen Prescott and her husband Daryll, Robert Lia and his wife Jennifer, Dayna Kane and her husband Jeffery, Ryan Lia and his wife Maura, Melani Bolyai and her husband Eric Neuner, Christopher Bolyai, and Kayla Bolyai. Loving great grandfather of Sam, Nicholas, Torri, Abbey, C.J., Matthew, Lucas, Alicia, Lianna, Isabel, and Violet. Dear brother of Ralph Lia and his wife Maurine, and of the late Rose LaGratta and her husband Al. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. The family will receive their friends on Friday from 5-8 PM. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 1:15 PM at the Garden of Memories Mausoleum, Twp. of Washington, NJ.
