

Peter Yotnakparian of Washington Township, NJ passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. Peter was a fan of music, movies and fine food as well as the "owner" of Diamond beach & Wildwood Crest. Born in New York, NY to Harry and Imelda Yotnakparian, he had a passionate disposition proudly blending both his Armenian and Irish heritage along with his Catholic upbringing. Peter served in the US army with life long friends Dino Venuto & Nick Chanda and became Battery Commander and First Lieutenant.
Peter's greatest pride came from his marriage of 63 years to to his loving wife Ann (Bedrosian) Yotnakparian. Moving to Washington Township right from their Honeymoon where they spent their entire lives together. Peter went on to become a founding member of the local chapter of the Knights of Columbus.
Together, they raised two children, Michael & his wife Joanne & Johnny and his wife Tina, blessed Peter with grandchildren, Cassidy and Logan, the loves of his life.
His artistic passion propelled him into a career managing the Harry B Yotnakparian Art Gallery on Madison Avenue for over 45 years. Peter will be remembered for his endless generosity and huge heart filled with love for his family and always being there when needed.
In addition to his children, "daughters" and grandchildren, he is survived by brother-in-laws George and wife Liliana, Bert and wife Rosemary, cherished nieces and nephews, godchildren and numerous friends. He was predeceased by siblings Agnes Smith and husband Bob, Vee Kerbeykian and husband Armen, Jeanette Tatosian and husband Charles and Nannette Gawel and husband Boley, Brother-in-law Peter and wife Joan.
The family will receive relatives and friends Monday, February 13, 2023, 3:30-7:30 pm at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, February 14, 2023, 10 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 668 Ridgewood Road, Washington Township, NJ. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
