On January 14, 2026, Ramona Suarez - Rose passed away peacefully in her home after succumbing to Parkinson’s Disease at the age of 66. Ramona grew up in Hillsdale, New Jersey and attended Saint John’s Academy, Immaculate Heart and Pascack Hills High School. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire and resided in Manhattan. She worked at her family’s iconic third generation leather goods store in New York City where she hosted clients from all over the world.
Mona’s smile and warmth filled every room she entered. Mona always had a love of music that ranged from the Grateful Dead to Pavarotti. She loved to dance, cook, read, enjoyed the beach, nature, and the arts and had a particular affection for turtles. She loved her walks through local parks and along the walkway by the East River. Ramona was a dear friend to many and will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
Predeceased are Ramona's father and mother, Joseph and Gloria Suarez, her brother Rick and baby John, sister Laura Suarez and most recently her husband, Steven Rose. Mona is survived by her brother Matthew Suarez, her niece Chelsea Suarez and her two nephews, Salvatore and Marco Suarez.
The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, N.J. on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 7:30 p.m.
