Raymond Gathright passed away on April 11, 2026, at the age of 80. He was born on October 13, 1945, in New York, N.Y., to the late Thomas Watson and Elizabeth Gathright. Raymond lived in Westwood, New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie, and his brother, Robert Gathright.
Raymond devoted himself to his work and to the people around him, serving as shop steward for Teamster’s Local 560. He also found steady purpose and fellowship as a member of the Valley Bible Chapel in the Township of Washington, N.J. He cherished his great neighbors and friends, and he will be remembered with respect and gratitude by those who knew him.
Raymond is survived by his sons Daniel Gathright, Robert Battle, Frank Wagner (Stefanie), and William Wagner (Elsa); his grandson Cole Wagner; and his granddaughter Kristyn Wagner.
Visitation will be held at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675, US, on April 20, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A Memorial Service will take place at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675, US, on April 20, 2026, at 12:00 pm. Interment to follow at Westwood Cemetery.
