Richard G. Satriano

SATRIANO, Richard G. 76, of Mahwah, formerly of Fairview & Cliffside Park, passed on August 31, 2015. Richard was born to parents Nicholas & Jean (nee Apruzzese) Satriano in Jersey City. Growing up in Fairview & Cliffside Park, Richard grew a lifelong love for music. Richard attended and gained his bachelor’s degree from the Manhattan School Of Music, applying that degree as a music teacher for the Union City school system for over 30 years. After work, Richard would play with many musicians over the years as a professional percussionist. In his 20 years of retirement, Richard became known from the affinity he grew for bowling and would always be found at Montvale Lanes making new friends. Richard is survived by his loving wife Dianne (nee Mitchell), son Scott and his wife Carol of Stamford, CT, daughter Lori Ann of Hackensack , Stepsons Robert and Paul, Stepdaughters Cathy & Christine, sister Maryann Schoene and her husband Ken of Little Egg Harbor, ex-wife Joyce Mikalonis and her husband Ed of Allamuchy, as well as many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. The family of Richard Satriano has entrusted arrangements to Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood NJ. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday, September 3rd, from 2-4 & 6-9. A Mass celebrating Richard’s life will be held at St. Andrew’s RC Church, 120 Washington Ave, Westwood at 10:30 AM with entombment at Garden Of Memories in Twp. Of Washington to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Habitat4music.org in Richard’s name.
