Roger Rosas

ROSAS, Roger, age 85, of Twp. of Washington, NJ, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2013. Born to Soledad and Heliodoro in Houston, TX and predeceased by brothers Ruben, Arthur and Robert and loving son-in-law James Frederick. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years and courtship of 6 years, Mildred Linda (nee Caiazzo), loving daughters Debra Marie Frederick, Susan Wallace, devoted son-in-law Mark Wallace, and grandsons Sean and Jake Wallace and Matthew Frederick. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and in-laws. Roger succumbed courageously to Alzheimer’s disease and died peacefully in his sleep.

Roger served in the U.S. Navy on the USS North Carolina in World War II. After returning home, he graduated from Emerson High School in Union City, NJ and Columbia University. He was employed by Consolidated Edison in New York City for 40 years as a Senior Electrical Designer.

The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Friday, April 26, 2-4 and 7-9PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating Roger’s life and faith will be at Our Lady Mother of the Church, 209 Woodcliff Avenue, Woodcliff Lake, NJ on Saturday at 11AM.
