Rose Ann Truppi passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026. Born on October 29, 1939, in Cresskill, New Jersey, to the late Frank and Anna Barthel, she was the youngest of three children. She grew up alongside her beloved brothers, the late Frank and Eugene, in a tight-knit home filled with closeness and deep family values.
As a teenager, Rose Ann’s extraordinary talent and athletic abilities took her far beyond her hometown. While attending the Professional Children’s School, she toured the country with the Honey Girls, a renowned female acrobatic and tumbling act before returning to New Jersey and graduating from Tenafly High School in 1957.
Following high school, Rose Ann attended Panzer College where she studied Physical Education. In 1963, she married her high school sweetheart, the late Harvey Truppi, and formed a loving partnership that would span over six decades.
Rose Ann and Harvey settled in Emerson, New Jersey, where they raised their three children: Scott Truppi (Christine), Barbara Lowell (Charles), and Elizabeth DeSimone (Thomas). Dedicated to her community, Rose Ann was actively involved in local volunteering, including the Parent Teacher Association and school events and fundraisers. Her commitment to service reflected her belief in being present, helping others, and giving generously of her time.
Family was the heart of Rose Ann’s world. She cherished summers filled with pool days and backyard barbecues, winters basking in the Florida sun, afternoons of thrift shopping and couponing, and countless hours crafting and knitting gifts for all those lucky enough to know her. She was a beloved aunt and cousin, a loyal friend to all, and someone who was always happy to listen, comfort, or share a kind word.
Above all, Rose Ann was an immensely proud grandmother. Her six grandchildren - Chas, Olivia, Anthony, Joseph, Grace, and Nicholas - were her greatest joy, and she celebrated every accomplishment, milestone, and moment with boundless pride and love.
