Rose A. Kuerzi

Rose A. (nee Saitta), 85, resident of Harrington Park, NJ since 1959, on Friday, October 28, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Jerrol L. Kuerzi for 60 years. Daughter of the late Gioseppina (John) and Concetta Saitta. Predeceased by twin brothers Rosario (Rusty) and Frank Saitta, and sister Gina Nicastro. Devoted mother of Kathleen and her husband Michael Donvito; Kenneth and his wife Nancy Kuerzi; Jack Kuerzi; Robert and his wife Joan Kuerzi; Janet and her husband David Gura; Richard and his wife Nancy w. Kuerzi; Christine and her husband Tim Greer; and Carol and her husband Patrick Dender. Loving grandmother of Adrienne, Amanda, Stephanie, Kelly, Jenna, Brittany, Joseph, Nicole, Ricky, Shannon, Ryan, and Emma. Survived by her sister Antoinette (Nina) Pugliese, and brother-in-law Quentin (Buddy) Nicastro, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and long time friends. Rose was raised in the Bronx, NY, and attended Hunter College. She was employed as a Harrington Park crossing guard, a lunch aide at Harrington Park School, also worked at the Employee Health Center at Bergen Pines, and ultimately retired in 1992 as the secretary for the Board of Chosen Freeholders of Hackensack. Rose was a former president of Our Lady of Victories Rosary Society, officer of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Daughters, member of the Harrington Park Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, coach of the Harrington Park Girls Softball Team, and a member of the Harrington Park Woman’s Club. Rose was a very loving, caring, and sociable person, and will be deeply missed by all. Funeral Liturgy Monday 11 AM, Our Lady of Victories Church, 150 Harriot Ave., Harrington Park, NJ. Burial Tuesday 1PM, Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown NJ.
