Ruth N. Leal

At the age of 9 years old, Ruth came to NYC from Puerto Rico. Mom was known as Ruthie in the Chelsea neighborhood in NYC as well as the “Avon Lady” for 40 years. She was recognized many times into the President’s Club for her sales performance. If you needed Skin-so-soft or make-up, she had it! Mom was a parishioner of St. Bernard and Lady of Guadeloupe Churches. She reared 4 children, Junior, Jeanie, Jenice and Jeffrey who pre-deceased her.

She loved camping in the Catskill Mountains in the early days with Joseph and the kids. She was a homemaker. Always sharp with her fashion and heels and loved to dance. She befriended everyone she met. She loved her family and was a dedicated Mom and did the best she could as a single parent.

Mom was loved by many people. She was tough when she needed to be yet kind and compassionate. She leaves two Son in-laws, Kenny and David. She leaves behind her siblings, Armando, Kathy, Carmen and three grandchildren, Joey, Erica and Jayden and two great-grandchildren, Gabriella and Angelina. She will be so missed.
