Born in Hackensack, NJ in 1953, Sharon grew up in the close knit community of Park Ridge and graduated from PRHS in 1971. She later went on to work as a Sales Service Coordinator for Takasago International, a fragrance company, where she worked for nearly 25 years and formed some cherished friendships.
Family was at the center of Sharon’s life. She loved her family deeply and was there for them in any way she could be. She was a devoted daughter who cared for her mother with love and compassion during her final years. As an aunt and grandmother, she always spoiled the youngest family members with love and affection. She loved nothing more than playing and being silly with them.
Sharon enjoyed simple joys, especially a sunny day at the beach or being pool side with her sister, Bonnie. She and her sister, Bonnie Giovanniello, shared a special bond and a lifelong closeness.
She was a member of the Bethany Community Church in the Township of Washington, NJ, where she volunteered her time on Sunday mornings prepping the coffee service.
Sharon is survived by her sister, Bonnie Giovanniello, brother-in-law Vincent James Giovanniello; her son Joseph Bird, daughter Bonnie Thompson, son-in-law Michael Thompson; her grandchildren Jorgi and Theron Thompson; her niece Jill Martel and husband Charles Martel, and her grand-nieces and grand-nephews Caitlin, Kevin, Bryan and Sara Martel. She was preceded in death by her parents Jean and Walter Bisner; and her nephew James Giovanniello.
Those who knew Sharon will remember her kindness, her warm heart, sense of humor and the love she gave so generously. She will be deeply missed
