Teresa was the devoted wife of the late Anthony A. Mangini, with whom she shared forty beautiful years of marriage before his passing in 2018. She was a loving and deeply proud mother to her two children: her son, David, and his wife, Anne, and her daughter, Alexandra. She found immense joy in her role as Nonna to her three cherished grandchildren: Joseph Anthony Mangini, Abbey O. Kavanah, and Colette E. Kavanah.
She was a dear sister-in-law to Carol Mangini and James Mangini, and a caring aunt to Kenneth Marvulli, his wife, Stephanie, and their daughter, Charlotte.
Teresa graduated from North Bergen High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree from Farleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford, N.J., where she majored in both French and Education. During her college years, she was awarded a one-year scholarship to study at the prestigious Sorbonne University in Paris, France.
Her true calling was in the classroom as a teacher. Teresa dedicated more than forty years teaching at Fort Lee High School and Cliffside Park High School where she taught French and English as a Second Language (ESL). She was a Teacher of the Year recipient who also coached and guided her advanced placement French students in statewide foreign language competitions where they often placed first.
Teresa treasured spending time with her loved ones and friends—never missing an opportunity to share a good laugh. Her joie de vivre, strength, and resilience were truly unparalleled.
