

Theodore Edwin (Ted) of Glen Rock, NJ, formerly of Manchester Township, Westwood, and River Vale, peacefully departed this world on March 07, 2012.
Born December 30, 1921, Ted grew up in New Milford and Westwood NJ. He proudly served in World War II as Master Sergeant, Crew Chief on B24 Bombers with the 466th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force. Ted also served one year with the Military Air transport command during the Korean War. Ted went on to build a successful career in the electrical supply industry by expanding on all that he had learned in the military. He served two years as president of the Bergen Electrical League, and retired as Executive Vice President of Franklin and Smith Inc., electrical distributors. He was a life member of both the Ralph W Lester VFW Post #130 and of the Knights of Columbus #2188 Westwood NJ. Ted was also a former member of the River Vale Volunteer Fire Department.
Loving husband to Teresa Mary Bohlin (nee O’Neill) deceased 02/19/2008. Married April 21st 1951, father of 8, grandfather of 33 and great grandfather of 2. Survivors include son Dennis Patrick Bohlin, DDS and wife Rosemary (nee Donoghue) of Glen Rock, NJ and their nine children, Matthew, Anne Marie Briggs and husband Lt. Robert Briggs USN and son Braden, Laura, Mary Kate Morgan and husband Gerard Michael, Therese, Joseph, Patrick and Christine; son Steven Paul Bohlin and his wife Cheryl (nee Anderson) of Plainfield, IL and their 11 children, Hope, Faith, Stephen, Warren, Christopher, Mary, Joy, Clara, Peter, Timothy and Philip. He is further survived by sons Monsignor Thomas Gerard Bohlin of NYC and Theodore James Bohlin of Chicago, IL; daughter Patricia Mary and husband Shaun Pacious of McLean, VA and their 7 children, Daniel, Kathleen, Shaun, Monica, Patrick, Brian and Anne; son James Joseph and wife Deborah (nee Vella) and their four children Thomas, Kevin, Caroline and John; daughter Karen Elizabeth Bohlin, EdD of Boston, MA and son Brian Robert Bohlin of RiverVale, NJ and his two sons Brian and Alexander. He is further survived by his wife’s sisters Sr. Mary Vincent “Gert”, Eugenia “Jean” Lane, Margaret “Peggy” Gilliard and Katherine “Kay” O’Neill and brothers Daniel and Reverend Hugh O’Neill and countless cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Funeral Liturgy at St. Catharine Roman Catholic Church, 905 South Maple Ave. Glen Rock, NJ on Monday, March 12 at 10AM. Interment to follow at Cemetery of the Ascension, Airmont, NY. The family will receive their friends and family at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Sunday, March 11, from 4-8 PM.
