

Tim was born on May 27, 1958, in Glen Cove, NY, to Raymond and Gladys McEvoy. Growing up in East Norwich on Long Island, Timothy attended St. Dominic School and proudly graduated from the Admiral Farragut Academy in Toms River, NJ. He furthered his education at Iona College, earning his degree.
Professionally, Timothy devoted his career to managerial accounting, serving several esteemed companies in NJ and NY. However, his true passions lay beyond the professional realm. He was a dedicated Catholic and an active member of the St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Old Tappan, NJ. Throughout his life, Timothy found solace and joy in his boating adventures in and around the area and cherished the tranquility of home life. His hobbies included woodworking, indulging in model trains, grilling, avidly supporting the Yankees, and tending to his yard and pool. He found immense pleasure in hosting gatherings for his children, grandchildren, family, and friends, always providing warmth and care to all who crossed his doorstep.
Timothy McEvoy was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Gladys. He is survived by his long-time companion, Joyce Papa of River Vale, NJ, his children Meghan Hornyak (John) of Lafayette, NJ, Kristin Barry (Brian) of Andover, NJ, Shannon Wilhelm (Mark) of Washington, NJ, Br. Finnbar Timothy McEvoy, OSB, Brendan McEvoy of Mammoth Mountain, CA, and their mother, Doreen Binns. Timothy also leaves behind cherished grandchildren Colten, Avreigh, Julia, Adalynn, Mackenzie, Mikayla, Patrick, and Andrew.
He is also survived by his three sisters, Anne Marie (Mark) Fallek, Kathy (Chris) Brown, Patricia (David) Morse, along with many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours to pay respects to Timothy P. McEvoy will be held on from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at St. Pius Roman Catholic Church in Old Tappan, NJ. A Funeral Mass in his honor will take place at 10:00am on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at the St. Pius Roman Catholic Church, followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
