William E. Donleavy

Donleavy, William Edward 59, of Montclair, NJ, formerly of River Vale, NJ, passed away on Wednesday June 12th, 2019 surrounded by the love of his family. William graduated from Pascack Valley High School in 1977 and later went on to serve in the United States Navy. After serving in the Navy, William returned home and spent some years employed by Buldo Sanitation.

Those who met William knew he was a kind, gentle man with a beautiful heart. He had a love for animals, nature, music and family. He touched family and friends with his never ending generosity.

William is survived by his mother Margaret; his sisters Patricia Whitman and husband Wayne and Barbara Donleavy-Hiller and husband Larry. He is predeceased by his father Edward.

Family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd, Westwood, NJ on Monday, June 17th from 4-8PM. A Mass celebrating William’s life and faith will be held at the R.C. Church of the Assumption in Emerson, NJ Tuesday, June 18th 10AM with interment at Ascension Cemetery in Airmont, NY to follow.
