

Alice (Rejman) Morris, 93, widow of Anthony Morris, entered into eternal rest on Monday (August 27, 2012) at McLean in Simsbury. She had been a longtime resident of Newington. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Caroline (Sunday) Rejman. She retired from Royal Typewriter, where she developed many life long friendships. A devout Roman Catholic, she was a faithful communicant of SS Cyril & Methodius Church, Hartford and a member of the Golden Seniors. Her life was characterized by kindness, generosity and humility. Alice passed from this life with the same quiet dignity she maintained throughout her lifetime. To cherish her memory, she is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Barbara Peruta; her brother, Frank Rejman and his wife Joan; a special niece, Pat Rejman who was a steadfast, loving and caring presence; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Leonard Morris, five siblings and her son-in-law, Steve Peruta.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 a.m. at SS Cyril & Methodius Church, 63 Popieluszko Court, Hartford. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
