Angela (Presutti) DiCesare

Angela (Presutti) DiCesare, 83, of Hartford, beloved and devoted wife for 60 years of Antonio DiCesare, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 21, 2016. Born on May 20, 1932 in Pratola Peligna, province of L'Aquila, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Loreta (DiBacco) Presutti. The DiCesare family immigrated to Hartford in 1960, where Angela and Antonio lived for 55 years. Angela retired from The Wiremold Company after 25 years, where she formed many long lasting friendships. Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her family and friends around the dinner table while enjoying her delicious home cooked meals. She also enjoyed special celebrations which included singing, dancing and traveling. She spent many happy years caring for her family and eight grandchildren. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, Angela will be dearly missed by her devoted husband Antonio; four children, Laura Galasyn and husband Peter of Glastonbury, Giorgio DiCesare and wife Maria of East Hampton, Luisa Buckler and husband Scott of Coventry, Giuseppe DiCesare and wife Dawn of Somers, in addition to her eight adored grandchildren, Nicholas, Stephanie and Jessica DiCesare, David and Jenna Galasyn, Jeffrey, Tyler and Drew DiCesare. She is also survived by two sisters, Nunziatina Zavarella of Halifax, Nova Scotia and Antonina DiSimone and husband Donato of Toronto, Canada, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother Mario Presutti and wife Claudia, brother Edoardo Presutti, brother in-law Cesidio Zavarella and his son Luigi, along with DiCesare family members in Italy and Argentina. Angela's family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to her physicians, Dr. Wisniewski, Dr. Tray and Dr. Everhart-Caye, as well as the entire staff of Davita Willard Avenue Dialysis Center and the Hospice Team of Hartford Healthcare for their kindness and compassionate care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday (March 23rd) at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, 494 New Britain Ave., Hartford, CT 06106. Everyone is asked to please meet at church. Entombment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
