Angela (Randazzo) Parr, 72, of Farmington, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at UConn Medical Center. She was born on September 5, 1939 in Hartford, daughter of the late Salvatore and Marietta (Randazzo) Randazzo. Angela graduated from the University of Connecticut and worked for the Hartford Superior Court State Judicial Branch. A colorful and joyful spirit, Angela’s most prized possession in life was her family and grandchildren. She made sure, and succeeded in, passing on that thinking to her own children and grandchildren. She was a responsible citizen taking politics seriously and was overjoyed to attend the Connecticut Rally for Barak Obama in 2008. She took great pride in her Italian/Sicilian heritage and recently journeyed to Sicily to the city of her mother, Canicattini Bagni, a true highpoint in her life. Her other loves were dancing, shopping and socializing with her long time friends and of course cruising around in her convertible VW bug. She is survived by her children Michelle Parr Paulson and her husband Scott of Chester, Marc Parr and his wife Cheri of Simsbury, Matthew Parr of West Hartford, and her four grandchildren Maxwell and Samuel Paulson of Chester and Abigale and Alec Parr of Simsbury. She was predeceased by her brothers Roy Randazzo and Salvatore Randazzo, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 31st at 11 a.m. in St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 467 S. Quaker Lane, West Hartford. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours are Tuesday morning from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
