

Ann (Doyle) Flannigan, The world lost a beautiful spirit on Monday (November 21, 2005) with the sudden death of Ann (Doyle) Flannigan 74, of Madison, widow of John ""Flip"" Flannigan, a member of Local #33 Heat, Frost and Asbestos Workers Union. She was born in Hartford daughter of the late Edmond and Mary (McCormick) Doyle and had lived in Connecticut most of her life. She was the former owner and operator of Bearhopes Restaurant in Branford. She loved parties and was known for her ""eggstraordinary"" deviled eggs. Ann's greatest gift to her family was her love, compassion and dedication to them. She wants to be remembered as a positive and upbeat influence in their lives. She leaves her loving family, sons, John Flannigan of Madison, Robert Flannigan and Lana of Deep River; daughters, Mary and Lawrence Nichols of Trumbull, Kathy and Stephen Pitura of East Hartford, Soozi Flannigan of Madison, Cindy Flannigan and Mike of Old Saybrook, Molly Flannigan Baldo and Frank of North Branford; a brother, Edmond Doyle of Glastonbury; sisters, Mary Rita McKenney of New Fairfield, Frances ""Pinky"" Doyle of West Hartford, Sheliah Herchig of Florida; grandchildren, Christopher, Brendan, and Jeffrey Nichols, Christopher, Matthew, and Jillian Pitura, Emily and Scott Wininger, Frank and R. J. Baldo, many nieces and nephews and many dear friends, especially Edwina Dobson and Heather McCarthy. Ann's greatest wish for all is to LIVE, LOVE, and LAUGH. Funeral services will be Monday at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. in St. Christopher Church, East Hartford.
