

Antonios Terzis, 75, of Newington, beloved husband of Fotini (Montzolis) Terzis for 48 years, died peacefully Monday, December 14, 2015 at Hartford Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Flaboura, Greece on August 25, 1940, he was the son of the late Vasili and Kalliopi (Tzumaka) Terzis. He owned and operated many restaurants in the Greater Hartford area over the past 50 years, most recently Serafino’s Restaurant in Newington. He was a longtime member of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Hartford. Antonios loved spending time with his family and enjoyed traveling back to Greece to visit family and friends. In addition to his loving wife Fotini, he will be dearly missed by his two devoted daughters, Kalliopi “Kelly” (Terzis) DiPaola and husband Pippo of Rocky Hill and Betsy Rosario and husband Josue of Portland; four adored grandchildren, Kallitsa and Fotina DiPaola and Anastasia and Christian Rosario; his sister, Angeliki Tsipolitis of West Hartford and his brother-in-law, Antonio Montzolis and wife Vivian of Waterbury, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends in the U.S. and Greece.
Funeral service will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 433 Fairfield Ave., Hartford, CT 06114. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7 p.m. with a Trisagion Service at 6 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
