

Carmela (Buccheri) Bilodeau, 82, of South Windsor, beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Bilodeau, passed away peacefully on Sunday (June 17, 2012). Born on October 28, 1929 in Canicattini Bagni, Sicily, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Rubera) Buccheri. Prior to her retirement, Carmela was employed at Aetna Insurance Company. She was an avid bingo player but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She is survived by a son, Leon Bilodeau and his wife Stacey of Mancheter; two daughters, Donna M. Bilodeau and Walter Spicer of South Windsor and Lorena Maselek of Ellington; two grandsons, Raymond and Kyle Bilodeau; her brother, Sebastian V. Buccheri of Newington; two sisters-in-law, Doris Bilodeau-Brisson of Wethersfield and Terry Bilodeau of Manchester, and several nieces, nephews, bingo buddies, extended family members and friends. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Joseph A. Buccheri, and her brother Sebastian's fiancé Marguerite C. Packard.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
