Charles Todd Shannon

Charles Todd Shannon, 43, of East Hartford, passed away Wednesday (January 12, 2011) at home, following complications from an auto accident. Born February 13, 1967 in Hartford, he was the son of John C. Shannon of Old Saybrook and Karen (Sieklucki) Shannon of Wethersfield. Besides his parents, he leaves his wife, Maria Maloney of East Hartford; a son, Charles M. Shannon of Wethersfield and his brother Douglas Shannon of Wethersfield. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Greg and Sue Zeliff of Wethersfield, Rich and Judi Sieklucki of West Palm Beach, FL, his maternal grandmother, Georgette Sieklucki of Wethersfield and his cousins Matthew McCarthy, Brendan McCarthy, Jonathan Sieklucki and Amy Sieklucki. He graduated Wethersfield High School in 1985. He worked for many years at Shop Rite and Wire Mold. Chuck was a gregarious, funny, kind and outgoing man who will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Go Giants! A memorial service will be held Thursday (January 20) at 4 p.m. at First Church of Christ, 250 Main Street, Wethersfield.
