Christina (Damiano) Bagdasarian

Christina (Damiano) Bagdasarian, 73, of Wethersfield, beloved wife for 50 years of Arthur Bagdasarian, passed away on Sunday (August 17, 2014). Born in Waterbury on April 23, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Patricia (Parente) Damiano. Christina worked at Travelers for 27 years, retiring in 1995. She was a former member of the Young Italians Club and enjoyed bingo, morning coffee at Dunkin Donuts, playing cards, baking for the holidays and cooking Sunday dinner for her family. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her grandsons. In addition to her loving husband Arthur, she will be dearly missed by her two devoted sons, Dean Bagdasarian and his wife Bonnie of Glastonbury and Mark Bagdasarian and his wife Silvana of Wethersfield; six adored grandsons who were the light of her life, Eric, Ryan, Jason, Mark, Matthew and Justin; her sister, Maryjane Lombardo of Wethersfield, two nieces and a nephew, Pattyann Lombardo, Frank Lombardo and Lona Barone, as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Carmen Damiano. Special thanks to Oncology Associates and the staff of the Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center, especially Dr. Robert Siegel.

Funeral services will begin on Thursday (August 21) at 9 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Luke’s Church, 66 Bolton St., Hartford. Entombment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
