Concetta Tina"" (Buccheri) Lombardo

Concetta “Tina” (Buccheri) Lombardo, 70, of Wethersfield, beloved wife for 44 years of Paul Lombardo, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, April 24, 2017. Born in Canicattini Bagni, province of Siracusa, Sicily on April 3, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Sebastiano and Giovannina Buccheri. Concetta was a member of the Daughters of Canicattini Bagni Society where she held the position of treasurer for over 20 years. Concetta’s life revolved around her family and she was happiest when they were all together. She truly enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She especially made the best tiramisu that she loved to share with family and friends. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be forever missed by her devoted husband Paolo; two sons, Giuseppe Lombardo and wife Diana of Middletown and Gianpaolo Lombardo and Allesandra Camargo of Manchester and her two adored grandchildren who brought her so much joy, Logan and Liana Lombardo. She is also survived by her brother, Michele Buccheri and wife Naomi of Edgewood, NM; her nephew, Michael Buccheri his wife Amanda and their son Ryan of Wolcott; her brother-in-law, Sebastiano Lombardo and his wife Maria; sister-in-Law, Lucia Amenta; nieces and nephews, Paula, Giuseppe, Michael, Ana, Deborah, Gianpaolo and her great nieces and great nephews, Christiana, Francesca, Isabella, Ciara, Anabelle, Elliana along with family in Switzerland.

Funeral services will be Thursday (April 27) at 9 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy., Wethersfield. Entombment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
