Concetta Tina"" (Latina) Ricupero

Concetta “Tina” (Latina) Ricupero, 93, of Newington and formerly of Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late Sebastian Ricupero, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 22, 2017. Born on Front Street in Hartford on July 31, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Sebastiano and Antonietta (Bazzano) Latina and had lived in the area her whole life. Tina was a graduate of Hartford Public High School, where she was a member of the Honor Society. She worked as a supervisor in the billing department of Hartford Hospital for 34 years, retiring in 1990. Tina also worked and volunteered at Jefferson House, where she eventually made her residence. She was a member of the Young Italians and enjoyed gardening and traveling. More than anything, she was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be forever missed by her three children, Mary Rock and husband Stephen of Colchester, Peter Ricupero and wife Maureen of Louisville, CO and Thomas Ricupero of Rockville Center, NY; her daughter-in-law, Nancy Ricupero of Rockville Center, NY; eight adored grandchildren, Tracey (Guy) Campbell of CT, Bryan Ricupero of WY, Lindsay (Robert) Petrancosta of NY, Melissa Ricupero of CT, Kristen (Alexandra Acosta) Ricupero of NY, Allison (Geoffrey) Studer of CT, Kaitlyn (Jason) Bright of AZ and Kevin Ricupero of NY and nine cherished great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff at Hitchcock for their wonderful care and compassion.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (October 28) at 10 a.m. at Annunciation Parish (St. Mary Church), 626 Willard Ave., Newington. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Family and friends may call on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
