
Concetta “Connie” (Cardalico) Rucci, 106, of Windsor and formerly Hartford, beloved wife of the late Lawrence J. Rucci, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 19, 2022. Born in New York City, NY on February 22, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Amalia (Capasso) Cardalico. Connie retired in 1977 as a supervisor at Aetna after 19 years of dedicated service. Connie was a longtime, faithful communicant of St. Augustine Church and St. Luke Church, Hartford. She was a former member of the South End Seniors, St. Cristina-Mt. Carmel Society, the DAV Auxiliary, and the St. Augustine Rosary Society.
Connie will be forever missed by her two daughters, Elena Cunningham and husband Charles of Simsbury and Donna Carroll and husband Charles of Bloomfield; and beloved son-in-law, George Viering of Charleston, South Carolina; six adored grandchildren, thirteen cherished great-grandchildren, and four special great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many extended family members, especially Patty Ann Rust, Pamela Carone and Donna and Michael Downes and a good friend, Susie Villalobos. She was predeceased by an infant granddaughter,her beloved daughter,Carol Viering,her three brothers; Paul, Ralph, and Norman Cardalico and her sister Mae Gulino. Connie’s funeral services at St. Augustine Church, Hartford and burial in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill will be private.
