

Constance ""Connie"" Louise Cook, 90, of Rocky Hill, beloved wife of the late Albert F. Cook, Sr., passed away peacefully on Sunday (February 20, 2011) at Maple View Manor in Rocky Hill. Born in Bristol on January 22, 1921, she was the daughter of the late George Harvey Doucette and Bertha (Plummer) Doucette and spent most of her life in Hartford, but also lived in Newington, Cromwell and Middletown before moving to Rocky Hill. Connie worked for the City of Hartford in several capacities, first as a crossing guard, then serving as the city's first meter maid and finally as a dispatcher for the Hartford Police Department. ""Mimi,"" as she was affectionately known by her family, is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Gary Paterno of Rocky Hill; three sons, Albert F. Cook, Jr., and Debbie of Enfield, Ronald A. Cook and his wife Beverly of Kensington and Stephen H. Cook and his wife Mary of Suffield and her two adored grandchildren, Michael and Melanie Paterno. Besides her husband and parents, Connie was predeceased by her sister, Janet Graugard. The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial is Thursday (February 24) at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. There are no calling hours. The family would like to thank the staff at Maple View Manor for the wonderful care given to Connie.
