Connie Lanzetta, 85, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025, in Hartford, Connecticut. Born on October 2, 1939, in Oswego, New York, Connie lived a full and spirited life marked by kindness, determination, and a deep love for her family.
She was the beloved daughter of Lena and Thomas Lanzetta, both of whom preceded her in death. Connie’s legacy lives on through her devoted family: her daughter Carol Goforth and husband Glen; her sons Marc Nucci, Keith Sims, and Eugen Smith; as well as several cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Connie had a zest for life that was evident in the simple joys she embraced. A longtime enthusiast of duckpin bowling, she spent many years participating in a bowling league where camaraderie and competition brought her great happiness. When not at the lanes, she could often be found at BINGO halls with hopeful anticipation of calling out a winning card. She also enjoyed quiet moments working through crossword puzzles and more recently found delight in watching game shows.
Those who knew Connie would describe her as thoughtful and kind—a truly “sweet” soul whose favorite word was fittingly “awesome.” Though she could be stubborn at times, it was always clear that she knew what she wanted and cared deeply about those around her. Her unwavering love for her children was a guiding force throughout her life.
May Connie’s memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
