

Courtney Erin Ryan, 28, of Wethersfield, died unexpectedly Saturday (November 28, 2009) after a short illness. Born in St. Petersburg, FL, she was the daughter of James M. and Cheryl Hamor Ryan of Wethersfield. She was a graduate of Wethersfield High School, Class of 1999 and St. Joseph's College in 2006. She was currently consulting as an energy coordinator and planned to continue her education to become a healthcare administrator. She served as a volunteer at Goodwill Industries, the Lutz Children's Museum in Manchester and the Connecticut Humane Society. Besides her parents she is survived by her sister, Taylor E. Ryan of Wethersfield; her paternal grandmother, Irene Ryan of Middletown; her maternal grandparents, Robert and Gloria Hamor of Middletown; her uncles, Donald Ryan and his wife Helen and Michael Ryan; her great aunt and great uncle Arolyn and Raymond Mains and many cousins and dear friends. Courtney wore her heart on her sleeve and her smile was contagious. She will be missed but never forgotten by all who were privileged to know her! The funeral is Friday, Dec. 4 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 310 Westfield Street, Middletown. Burial will be private at a later date. There are no calling hours.
