David J. Fiore

David J. Fiore, 58, of Rocky Hill, loving husband of Mary (Wassil) Fiore for 27 years, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 31, 2016. He was born June 1, 1958 in Derby and is the son of Joan (Solomon) Fiore of Derby and the late Michael A. Fiore. David was a graduate of Derby High School, class of 1976 and the University of Bridgeport in 1980 with a B.S. Degree in industrial design. He was an industrial designer for Oldham Studios, Wethersfield. He formerly was employed by Otis Elevator. David’s passion was painting landscapes and portraits and he was also an excellent photographer. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed playing tennis and loved traveling all over the world with his family. Besides his wife and mother, David will be dearly missed by his son, David M. Fiore and daughter, Katherine M. Fiore, both of Rocky Hill; his brother, Robert M. Fiore of Derby; brothers-in-law, Walter J. Wassil of Ashford and Andrew Barniak of Florida, as well as several nieces and nephews, among them a very special and dear niece, Lindsay Barniak of Southington. Besides his dad, he was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Elizabeth L. Barniak and nephew, Jason Barniak.
