

David E. Salisbury, 73, loving husband of June (Huebner) Salisbury for 51 years, died peacefully, Thursday (January 3, 2013) with his family by his bedside. He was born April 1, 1939 in Hartford and was the son of the late Edward R. and Marguerite (Rose) Salisbury. David lived in Wethersfield since 1939 and was a graduate of Wethersfield High School, Class of 1958 and attended Leichester Junior College. He worked for Service Press Inc. prior to being employed by Aetna Insurance Company for 25 years as a purchasing agent, later to work for Cross Mobil in Wethersfield for 17 years. He was an avid bowler and was a member of the Aetna Bowling League and the Men’s Independent Bowling League. David loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and always had his devoted Border Collie, “Bailey” by his side. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. Besides his wife June, he is survived by his two sons, Scott E. Salisbury and wife, Lisa of Simsbury and Kenneth E. Salisbury and wife, Mary of Wethersfield grandchildren, Sean, Ryan, Nicole and Tyler Salisbury and a brother, Robert E. Salisbury of Geneva, New York, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield with the Reverend John Rogers officiating. The burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel.
