Diane Bayek

Diane (Vallario) Bayek, 79, of Wethersfield, beloved wife for 50 years of the late David Bayek, passed away unexpectedly in her home that she loved on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Born in Hartford on February 23, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Katherine (Podrebartz) Vallario. Diane was a graduate of Wethersfield High School. She worked for many years as a customer service representative for Watson Insurance Group. She enjoyed decorating and gardening and was a cat lover. More than anything, she cherished time spent with her family.

A loving mother and grandmother, Diane will be forever missed by her two children, Kurt Bayek and wife Jessica of Coachella, CA and Christa Barbieri and husband David of Watertown and her three adored grandchildren, Jake, Matthew and Sofia. She is also survived by her sister, Janet Miano and husband Nino of Hartford and her nieces, Linda Miano of Wethersfield and Gina Miano of Hartford.

There will be a graveside service for Diane on Wednesday, June 10 at 11 a.m. at Village Cemetery, 1 Marsh Street, Wethersfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in Diane’s memory may be made to the CT Humane Society at www.cthumane.org The D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, Wethersfield has been entrusted with the arrangements.
