Donna Lee Markovitz

Donna Lee Markovitz, 71, of Wethersfield, passed peacefully on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. She was a lifelong Wethersfield resident and passed in her childhood home. Donna was born July 15, 1951 to the late Stanley and Adelaide (Sylvester) Markovitz. She retired from the CT Department of Labor in 2006 after 26 years of dedicated service and was a parishioner of Christ the King Parish in Wethersfield.

Donna had a great love for her family and spending time with them brought her tremendous happiness. Anyone who knew her could see the warm, caring wonderful person that she was.

Donna will be forever missed by her devoted partner of 31 years, Joe Marenna; her beloved niece Jennifer and husband Matt and her great-niece and great-nephew, Hannah and Noah, who were the lights of her life. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Jo-Ann Markovitz.

Calling hours are Monday, April 24 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Parish (Corpus Christi Church), 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
