

Douglas George Crosen, passed away peacefully on Friday evening (February 12, 2010) surrounded by his loving family. Beloved son of the late George and Eunice (Watson) Crosen, he was born in Hartford on June 5, 1955. A lifelong resident of Wethersfield, he was employed by Pratt & Whitney for over 30 years. Doug was a loving husband and father. He leaves behind his wife and best friend Mary (DeFrino) Crosen, his beloved children Jennifer, Carolyn, and Douglas Jr. and his four legged companions Roxy, Jaeger, Regina and Chico Suave. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Nick and Laura DeFrino, his sisters and brothers, Janet Elwood, Patty Montanaro and Paul Kravontka, Beth and Steve Cormier, Peter and Claudia Crosen, Ted Crosen and Linda Delisio, and Carolyn Crosen and Erik Buchakian, Paula and Bob Olsen, John DeFrino and Christine and Lenny Saponare; nieces and nephews Christine and Scott Pepin, Jason and Paige Montanaro, Ryan Eastwood and Catherine Henzy, Jerry Cormier, Jeffrey Hodgman, Lindsey and Jon Doolittle, Alison Cormier, Ingrid and Lucy Crosen, Kristin, Lauren and Kevin Crosen, Thor Crozakian, Nick and Kelly Olsen, Dylan and Luke DeFrino and Laura and Nicole Saponare; great nephews and niece, Nathan Scott Pepin, Daniel Ryan Eastwood and Gracie Isabella Doolittle; and many, many cherished friends. Doug was predeceased by his first wife Patty Wyer Crosen, his brother Scott Crosen and his brother-in-law Patrick Montanaro. Doug loved life and lived his to the fullest. He had an irresistible sense of humor, which he carried to the end. He loved Cape Cod, and his home away from home was ""Wellfleet-by-the-Sea"". Doug had an insatiable curiosity. He read three papers a day, followed the news avidly, and enjoyed conversing on any subject. He was the original google. His presence filled a room with laughter and joy, and he will be terribly missed. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 20 at 11 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church, 300 Main Street, Wethersfield with Father Scott Lee officiating. Everyone is asked to go directly to church. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Friday, February 19th from 3-7 p.m. at D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield.
