Edwina F. Radomski, 82, of Hartford, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 27, 2026. Born in Hartford on April 4, 1943, she was the beloved daughter of the late Harold and Edwina (Malliet) Radomski and had lived in Hartford her entire life.
Edwina graduated from Bulkeley High School, Class of 1961. She began her work with the State of Connecticut in the Department of Motor Vehicles, but retired after 25 years from the Department of Transportation.
She was a lover of music, especially the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, and had an extensive LP collection. Edwina was a great reader and loved writing poetry, which she submitted to numerous publications. She kept in touch with high school friends over the years and enjoyed whenever they got together for a meal she cooked or for a few glasses of wine. Her favorite days were spent at the family A-frame in Putney, Vermont with her dogs enjoying the beauty of the area. She always had at least one cat and dog and was devoted to her animals. Her nephew, Rob, is lovingly taking care of her dog, Jett.
Edwina will be missed by her devoted brother David and his wife Janet of West Hartford and her sister Katy Radomski of Hartford; nephew Robert Radomski of Hartford; niece Christine and her husband Daniel Dunn and children Mason and Josephine of Bristol; and nephew Bryan and his wife Kyle Radomski and son Francis of Fairfield.
The family especially wants to thank the nursing staff and aides at Autumn Lake Healthcare at West Hartford for the exceptional care that Edwina received over these last few months that she was at their facility. She knew she was safe and cared for by a wonderful group of people.
Calling hours will be Thursday, March 5th from 5-7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Edwina’s memory to the Connecticut Humane Society (cthumane.org). To share a memory, please visit www.desopofuneralchapel.com
