Elaine Walsh

Elaine Carol Walsh (Chesky), of Taunton, MA, passed away peacefully at home on June 26, 2017. Born in August of 1942 in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Thomas L. and Florence (Ferreri) Walsh. She lived in Wethersfield for most of her adult life, moving to Taunton upon her retirement from the Connecticut Department of Public Safety. A graduate of Bulkeley High School in Hartford, Elaine loved working on her home and gardens, as well as sewing and crocheting quilts. She also loved to visit museums in Boston, working with her dogs and watching the Beluga Whales at Mystic Aquarium. Elaine is survived by her daughter, Corinne Schultz, husband Walter and granddaughter Samantha of Taunton; her son, Edward Chesky and his wife Genevieve of Colebrook, NH and her brother, Thomas Walsh and his wife Barbara of Glastonbury. Calling hours will be held on Thursday (June 29) from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Funeral services will begin on Friday (June 30) at 9 a.m. at the funeral chapel. Burial will follow in Village Cemetery, Old Wethersfield. Elaine's family extends sincere thanks to Old Colony Hospice, Su and her Comforcare Team, and to Alicia for their wonderful care and compassion.
