Elena Falleti

Mrs. Elena (Pastizzo) Falleti, 86, of Manchester, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Manchester Memorial Hospital, after a struggle with Dementia. She was the wife of Domenico Falleti. Elena was born in Italy on July 10, 1930 daughter of the late Frank and Nicolina Pastizzo. She loved being outdoors, especially at the beach. She loved the sun on her face; said it made her feel warm inside. Her other love in life was cooking. She loved to cook, and when she did cook, she cooked meals big enough for two football teams, and some fans. Dad always said, ""Your Mother, I don't know how she does it, but she can make a 'hell' of a sauce""! Elena married the love of her life, she called him her Romeo, Domenico Falleti. They both came to America separately, not knowing each other then, by ship (Andrea-Doria) from Italy, docking in Ellis Island. Elena found her Father, Frank, and later was introduced to 'her Romeo', Domenico. They both moved to a small apartment on Front Street, in Hartford, CT. This is where history began. Besides her loving husband ""Romeo"" of over 60 years, Elena is survived by her son Pasquale Falleti and his wife, Tammy of Manchester, two daughters Nicolina Reale and her husband David, and step-daughter, Jamie of Manchester, and Catherine Falleti and her fiancé, Steven Blumenthal of Manchester, two grandchildren, Charlotte Dulanto and Pasquale Falleti, Jr. and three great-grandchildren, Bella, Daniella and Leonardo. She was predeceased by her brother Marzio Pastizzo. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday March 22nd at St. Augustine's Church, 10 Campfield Ave. Hartford, CT. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21st at D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
