Elizabeth Liz"" (Zupka) Martin

Elizabeth “Liz” (Zupka) Martin, 70, of Hartford, loving wife for 31 years of the late Roger Martin, Sr., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 after a courageous 10-year battle with breast cancer. Born in New Hyde Park, Long Island, NY on June 23, 1946, she was the daughter of the late John and Josephine (Stumbers) Zupka. Liz worked for many years at Rapacki & Sons Deli. A loving mother and grandmother, Liz will be forever missed by her son, Roger Martin, Jr. and wife Janet of Wethersfield and her three adored grandchildren, Nicole, Sean and Brett. She is also survived by her brother, John Zupka and wife Chris and her sister, Marie Zupka-Ludder, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was sadly predeceased by her beloved son, Michael Martin and two brothers, Robert and Thomas Zupka. The family thanks Hartford Hospital Hospice and the staff at Salmon Brook in Glastonbury for their compassionate care during her last weeks.
