

Emmanuel Abrah Wiafe, affectionately known as Nana Wiafe, of Hartford, Connecticut, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, at the age of 63. Born in Ghana, Nana Wiafe was a cherished son of the late Richard Donkor Wiafe and Comfort Sakyiwah Mintah.
Nana Wiafe dedicated his career to hauling aviation fuel as a Truck Driver, a role he embraced with commitment and pride. Beyond his professional life, he was an avid reader with a passion for fishing and enjoyed spending time on his boat. His loving nature and dedication to his family were hallmarks of his character.
He is deeply missed by his son, Seth Mintah Wiafe of Meriden, and his sisters, Gladys Wiafe of East Hartford, Connecticut, Madam Margaret Wiafe, and Mrs. Juliana Eduful, and Georgina Wiafe of Ghana. Nana Wiafe is also survived by his brothers, Hon. Joseph Omari, (Brothers & Sisters) Robert Roland Osafo of New Jersey, Yaw Acheampong and Kwame Tenkorang. He had many nieces and nephews, including Michael Adzenyah, Freddy Amankwah, Alexander Wiafe, Adu Adzenyah, Stella Anane-Frimpong, Hetty Osei-Effah, Sakyiwah Adzenyah, Agnes Wiafe, Joseph Wiafe, Benjamin Wiafe, Evelyn Sakyiwah Wiafe, Samuel Siaw, Kofi Adzenyah Wiafe and Safo Wiafe
A time of visitation will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield, Connecticut, followed by a service at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
