

Florentino “Tino” Veguilla-Vega, 78 of Windsor, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. He was born and raised en el Barrio San Salvador, Caguas, Puerto Rico, son to the late Felix and Matilde (Vega) Veguilla.
Tino was a jack of all trades and diligent worker holding positions at a Chicago window cleaning company, Mirror Stowe Pipe Factory, Russell’s Creative Global Cuisine, and the Wadsworth Atheneum. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed playing games with his friends at the senior center. Tino was a jokester that loved to color, complete word searches, play dominoes, go bowling, cook delicious meals, be outdoors, garden various plants and vegetables, and tend to his birds.
In addition to his wife Carmen (Tata), Tino will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his loving family; siblings: Tito, Mercedes, Monin, Rita, Chago, children: Edwin, Dahlia, and Junito, his grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, and friends. Tino was pre-deceased by his siblings: Virginia, Gil, Julia, and Osvaldo.
The family will receive relatives and friends Friday, January 2, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 79 New Park Avenue, Hartford. Burial will follow the Mass at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield.
